La Cuina d'en Marc

In the heart of Fornalutx is the restaurant of Marc Martinez, a modern Majorcan restaurant with worldwide influences.

Marc learned his craft from the kitchen of his grandmother who was the Chef at the Lluc Alcari Hotel that the family owned. The Majorcan influences are strong, however Marc is giving the dishes their own mordern twist.

His training in the Haute Cuisine colleges of Mallorca and experience in the fine restaurants of the Soller Valley prepared him for the Fornalutx touch. After four years running his own kitchen in the Can Verdera Hotel it was time for his own restaurant in the centre of Fornalutx. La Cuina d’en Marc is the focus of the creativity and love of food and all its possibilities that Marc has.

The restaurant caters for 30 people for lunch and dinner six days a week (it is closed on a Monday). A large downstairs room is the music venue for occasional live music, DJ Sets and Karaoke nights. Look out for the ad hoc announcements for the music nights!

The menu style is modern Majorcan with influences of Italian and is constantly evolving with the seasons. It is lovingly crafted and added to each day with a dish of the day. A snack menu is also available for lighter lunches.

La Cuina d’en Marc is a Chef led restaurant and Marc is always there, preparing the dishes to the highest standard. The breads, pastry and desserts are homemade and form part of the rounded food experience that he wants his guests to have.
